Responsibilities of Election Inspectors
Elections must be conducted in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with the requirements of the state Election Law. As an Election Inspector, these are two of your most important responsibilities: make sure all eligible voters can exercise their right to vote, and that the law is applied uniformly.
Your duties will include:
- Voter qualifications
- Various ballots and special voting procedures
- How to operate a voting machine
- Casting ballots
- Canvassing vote results
- Procedures for challenging voters
