"Alive at 25"
The Oswego County District Attorney's Office has joined forces with the National Traffic Safety Council to bring the "Alive at 25" program to Oswego County.
The "Alive at 25" program is a 4-hour course that follows established protocols that have proven effective in reaching younger drivers. The course is designed to educate young drivers to keep them safe.
This is not a point-reduction course.
If a driver between the ages of 16 and 24 receives a ticket for certain moving violations, they will be required to complete the course to be eligible for a ticket reduction. This includes, but is not limited to: cell phone, texting, and speeding offences.
For a schedule of classes in Oswego County click here.
Drivers can register at aliveat25ny.com, or by email at email@example.com, or by phone at
315-329-9199. Each class is $50 and drivers must pre-register and prepay.
Do not contact this office by phone to discuss your traffic ticket. We will not discuss traffic reductions by phone.
Please reference the Court Assignment List to find out which Assistant District Attorney is assigned to a particular court.
KEEP ORIGINALS FOR YOUR FILE.
The 4 ways to resolve your ticket(s) are as follows:
- Mail: Include all requested information referenced in the Traffic Ticket Guide and the Plea Bargain Request Form. It may take 3-4 weeks to process your ticket(s). If you have a court date scheduled in that time period, contact the court and request an adjournment.
- Town/Village Courts: On the scheduled ADA night, bring to court all requested information referenced in the Traffic Ticket Guide. The local town courts schedule ADA nights, therefore, call the court where your ticket is from to find out which night an Assistant District Attorney is next scheduled to appear.
City Courts: An ADA is scheduled to appear in Oswego City Court every Tuesday and Thursday morning beginning at 9:00 am. An ADA is scheduled to appear in Fulton City Court every Wednesday and Thursday morning beginning at 9:00 am. Bring to court all requested information referenced in the Traffic Ticket Guide.
- District Attorney’s Office: We do not handle walk-ins or schedule appointments. You may drop your paperwork off at a table we have set up just outside our office. We are located at the Public Safety Center, 39 Churchill Road, Oswego, NY 13126.
- Hire an Attorney.
You are responsible for contacting the court to request an adjournment. Our office does not grant adjournments; only the court may grant adjournments.
