Trash should be placed in white, clear, or trasparent bags or in a container with a lid. Oswego County has a Solid Waste and Recycling Local Law that requires all waste generated or collected within Oswego County must be delivered to Oswego County Solid Waste Facilities.

You may contact a private waste hauler
for curb side pickup.

Keep in mind that haulers do not pick up furniture, refrigerated appliances, used motor oil, electronics or household batteries. These items can be brought to the Transfer Stations!

Oswego County's Payment Options

Cash or Check: Make payable to Oswego County Department of Solid Waste, $20 return check fee

Credit Card: $3.50 surcharge OR 3.5% for over $100

Below is a schedule of civil penalties that in accordance with Local Law 2 of 2011 Section 5, entitled "Oswego County Recycling and Solid Waste Local Law"

Commerical Trash Disposal Options

Oswego County Solid Waste and Recycling Local Law 2 of 2011, Section 4, 9 "Flow Control" requires all waste, including Construction & Demolition Debris generated or collected within Oswego County to be delivered to Oswego County Solid Waste Facilities.
