County Presents Commendation to Macner

The Oswego County Legislature's Human Services Committee recognized Fulton resident Larry Macner as Veteran of the Year in 2017. Master Sergeant Macner served in the U.S. Air Force for six years in active duty and 22 years in the New York Air National Guard, working as a jet engine technician and as a quality assurance technician for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. During his 28-year military career, Macner was deployed to several bases, both at home and abroad, and received 17 service ribbons. In May of 2016, he was inducted into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame and served as grand marshal for Fulton's annual Memorial Day Salute parade in 2017. For the last five years, Macner has represented the Sixth Ward on the Fulton Common Council and continues to distinguish himself as an honorable and exemplary citizen.
